DevSecOps & Hosting
Can you help me host my site and/or application?
Yes. Hosting and infrastructure are one of Hatchery’s strengths. Our AWS experts can help with planning, networking, security, monitoring, and more.
What if my app needs to scale quickly?
That's exactly what we plan for. We design systems with scalability in mind so growth doesn’t break your product—or your budget.
General
Do you outsource development to countries such as India, Argentina or Costa Rica?
No.
Does Hatchery provide UI/UX services?
Absolutely. We’re strengthening our product design capabilities and recommend all projects start with UX and design. It reduces long-term costs , results in a better product, and gives investors something tangible to get behind.
How involved will I be during the project?
As much as you want to be. Some clients prefer weekly check-ins, others just want milestone updates. Either way, we keep communication clear and decisions transparent. We discuss this with you before we get started.
I have an idea but how do I start? I have never done this before...
Start by contacting Hatchery. We’ll discuss your idea with you—no obligations, no pressure. Just a clear conversation about possibilities.
I paid a friend to build me a product, but it failed. Can you help?
This is common. Many developers have limited experience with production-level code or hosting. We’ll start by clarifying your product goals and then provide a proposal with options. In most cases, we don’t use the existing code, but we’ll get you moving in the right direction.
I've never done this before. Can you still help?
Yes. Many of our clients are first-timers. We'll walk you through the process step by step so you’re not navigating it alone.
What industries do you work with?
We support clients across diverse sectors - from SaaS startups to finance, life sciences, sports, and beyond. What matters most is delivering secure, scalable software that’s built with care.
Pricing & Engagement
Any words of wisdom for someone wanting to build a new SaaS product?
Yes! Recognize that shortcuts usually end up being costly. As the saying goes, ‘If you think good architecture is expensive, try bad architecture.’ Building a product takes time, care, and patience—and yes, it can be frustrating at times. The best advice we give is to embrace the process and try to enjoy it. When you stay engaged with a positive attitude, the outcomes are far better. Developers and teams want the best for their customers, and success comes from working with them, respecting their craft, and valuing the journey.
How do you structure your projects?
We break work into phases with clear deliverables. This helps you manage risk, track progress, and adjust as priorities evolve.
We are small and do not have a lot of money. Can you still help?
Yes. In most situations we can create a payment structure that works for smaller organizations while still moving your project forward.
Programming & Technology
Can you integrate branding with development?
Yes. Branding, design, and development go hand in hand. We can align your product’s look and feel with its technical foundation so it delivers a consistent experience to your users.
My friend said he could build a product in a day using vibe coding (AI). Why not do that?
Hatchery developers use AI every day, but our focus remains on building strong, adaptable products. Much of our work involves FinTech or scientific software, where understanding the math, structure, and security of the system is critical. AI can accelerate parts of development, but relying on it entirely isn’t the right approach.
In addition to this, there are many things freelancers or new developers might not be aware of or consider. Hatchery has extensive experience and we can help you navigate various areas including legal, payments, security, roadmaps and feature prioritization.
Let's have a conversation and see how Hatchery can help your business. If we are not a fit, we will be the first to tell you.
